K and A JPN is a consulting firm specializing in research and development in the fields of vibration and acoustics. The company provides a wide range of engineering services and related software development for universities, government research institutes and private companies in Japan and the USA.

The Hybrid SEA method, which is an extension of the Statistical Energy Analysis (SEA) method, has been used as the analysis method for many projects. In addition, we develop and market our Hybrid SEA System software.

In addition to the above, as part of the maintenance of the software, the company also provides detailed technical support by telephone and also provide training on the Hybrid SEA System to users of the Hybrid SEA System and general clients involved in SEA methods. The company has conducted experiments and analyses on the diagnosis, prediction and design of vibration and acoustic problems for a wide range of objects, including automobiles, railways, ships, airplanes, rockets, satellites and buildings.

In recent years, the company has been focusing on the automotive industry, which is undergoing rapid model changes, and has been involved in conducting research and development for major clients.

Work Responsibilities

Our main customers are Honda R&D, Honda R&D Americas, Nissan Motor, Nissan Shatai and Suzuki Motor. You will be able to experiment to your heart's content at a major automotive manufacturer.

Job Description :

-Software Development Engineer: Research and develop software for Hybrid SEA (HSEA) based on SEA (Statistical Energy Analysis), prepare and conduct experiments to collect necessary data, and provide technical support to customers.

-Analysis researcher: Research and development of HSEA.

-Experimental Engineer: Research and development of SEA software and experiments to collect necessary data.

Features of the work

There are 1~2 analysis researchers and 2~3 experimental engineers for each job. This position will allow you to make full use of your knowledge of mathematics (calculus, sequences) and physics (springs, acoustics).

*This position will be based at our head office in Nagoya.

The team for this position is made up of 4 employees coming from Japan and the US.

Working Hours

10:00-19:00 (1 hour break)

Average Overtime: 40 hours/ month
